Corrections Policy

How to report an error, and what we do about it.

If something on this site is wrong, out of date or no longer matches what a product does, we want to know. Product interfaces change without notice, and a walkthrough that describes a screen that no longer exists wastes more of your time than no walkthrough at all.

How to report an error

Use the contact form with the topic "Correction", or email hello@ideatotraffic.com. Include the page URL, what the page says, and what you actually saw. A screenshot or command output helps us reproduce it.

What happens next

We try to reproduce the problem on one of our own sites within five business days. If the page is wrong, we fix it, change its Last updated date, and add a dated note at the bottom of the page describing what changed ("Correction, October 12, 2026: step 3 previously said…"). The same note goes on the What's New page.

What counts as a correction

A factual error, a command that no longer works, a changed interface, or a cause that turned out to be something else. Typos and wording are fixed silently and do not change the Last updated date.

What we do not do

We do not delete pages to hide mistakes, and we do not change dates to make a page look fresher.
