Idea to Traffic Pressure Test

Editorial Policy

How we decide what to publish, how we test it, and how advertising is kept separate.

Applies to every guide, hub and calculator on ideatotraffic.com.

Who writes the content

Everything on this site is written by the Idea to Traffic Editorial Team at Edgewater Media LLC and published under the brand. We do not use bylines with personal names and we do not use invented author personas.

What qualifies for publication

A guide is published only if all three are true: the problem happened on one of the seven sites Edgewater Media runs, the cause was identified, and the fix was confirmed on a live domain. If we cannot reproduce it, we do not write it. Topics that everyone else already covers are not published unless we have something they do not: a measured number, a real command output, or a failure mode they miss.

How guides are tested

Every command is run against a live site before publication and the real output is shown. Screenshots come from our own accounts, with account IDs and personal data removed. Numbers are measured values with the date they were measured. Where a figure is a general industry range rather than our own measurement, the page says so.

Use of AI tools

Our sites were built with AI tools and we use them in drafting. No page is published without a person running the commands, checking the output and confirming each claim against a live site or the vendor's documentation. AI is not used to produce pages in bulk or to generate variations of one page with swapped keywords.

Dates

Every guide shows a Published date and a Last updated date. Last updated changes only when the substance changes: a new step, a changed interface, a corrected fact. Each change is logged on the What's New page.

Advertising and the paid product

The site carries Google AdSense ads, labeled "Advertisement", on guide, hub and calculator pages only. Advertisers have no influence on what we publish. We sell one product, the Pressure Test. Guides may link to it once, at the end, as a next step; it never replaces an answer the guide should give for free.

Corrections

Errors are fixed as soon as they are confirmed and noted on the page and on What's New. See the Corrections Policy.
